If you have some paper (construction or just regular computer paper!) and some crayons, head outside to find some leaves!
Place the leaf underneath your paper and gently color over it with the crayon. The kids were so excited to see that they could trace the leaves that they had found outside!! You could also do this to make prints of different textures outside, like stone, brick, concrete, etc!

This one started after we had finished an art scavenger hunt (who can find a stick as big as their hand, who can find something colorful/green/red/etc! Then we used our found objects to make stick figures!
Another day, we ran around finding a good object for a head/stick for the body/leaves for clothes, flower for jewelry, etc.! A fun activity that you can do at home or at a park since you aren't gluing the materials or causing a big mess!

This one is super helpful when you've got some kids that need an occasionan confidence boost.
I ordered some little square mirrors off of Amazon, as well as some popsicle sticks, and we all thought of four things that we love about ourselves (I recommend encouraging things that aren't appearance based -- We used things like "I am a good friend!" "I am a hard worker," "I am good at basketball!" and then glued them along the edges to make a frame. Then, when any of the kids are having a bad day, they can look at their mirrors to remember all the things they love about themselves!
